It’s nice to meet you.

I’m Avery Wagner, a multimedia designer, content director, and copywriter.

I do things like design, branding, and content creation. I’ve been doing so since 2010, but it doesn’t seem like it could possibly be that long since I first opened up Adobe Illustrator and fell down the rabbit hole.

In that time I’ve run the gamut of workplaces: I’ve worked on all manner of design projects, from print to web to environmental, at University of Virginia Facilities Management, designed for identity, web, print, and advertising as an intern, designer, copywriter, web developer, strategist, and ultimately creative director at Hoot Design Co., handled unit design and juggled databases at other large institutional departments, built brands and campaigns through my independent freelancing, and even worked to bring startups to life.

Some concrete skills I’ve developed include mastery of Adobe design programs like Illustrator and Photoshop, basic HTML and CSS skills, certifications in search marketing and customer value optimization funnels, a deep love of spreadsheets, and a wealth of digital copywriting experience.
